The Rev. Steven W. Hagerman

1986-1991

Father Hagerman accepted a call to become the tenth rector of St. James in October of 1986. He had previously served churches in Chicago, where he was ordained into the priesthood in 1982, and in New York. His wife, Bernadette, was active involved with the Sunday School and the Episcopal Church Women. The Hagerman's have three children, Sarah, Matthew and Daniel, who was born in Titusville.

Father Hagerman brought to St. James a background in working with disabled people and during his time at St. James, took an active role in the community and the church by working with the disabled. As part of the 125th Anniversary Fund Capital Improvements, the entrance to the church and parish house and restrooms, were made handicap accessible.
