A
Cairn Terrier can survive on any good quality dog food. Usually
two-thirds of a cup of dog pellets or a small can and a half
of food divided among two meals will suffice. Treats should be
kept very small. The breed has a tendency to become fat, especially
when spayed or neutered.
Keep in mind that the average weight for an adult dog is from
fourteen to sixteen pounds.
