GENERAL QUESTIONS
1 Q. Where is the CATS Center
located?
A. The CATS Center is located at Clarion University,
Wilkinson Hall, Main Street, Route 322 East, Clarion PA 16214.
There is an ALLTEL sign on the door at the street entrance.

Q. How is each room wired?
A. Double rooms are currently wired for two phone lines, two Internet
connections, and one cable TV connection. Triple
rooms are wired the same except they have three Internet connections. The four-jack outlet
box ALLTEL installed has (1) Orange and (1) Blue jack in the top row for
telephones; (1) White
and (1) Yellow jack in the middle row for computer data connections; and (1)
silver cable TV connector in the bottom left corner of the wall plate.

Q. How do I get long distance, cable TV and/or Internet service turned on?
A. If you called ALLTEL and signed up for services
before getting here your services should already be turned on. If you
haven't signed up yet, go to the front desk of your residence hall for the
ALLTEL packet that explains all of the services. Fill in the application
form and call the 800 number on the form right from your room. Your
services will be turned on sometime within the next three days.

Q. I need to buy a computer. Where do I go?
The CATS center sells
Apple, Dell, and Gateway computers and they have a hassle-free "Clarion Ready"
service where they will set it up in your room, connect it to the network and
guarantee it works.
