Who Is CSOnline?
CSOnline is a local, premier Internet Service Provider that will
be offering high-speed Ethernet connections from Clarion University
residence hall rooms and high-speed dial-up connections up to 56K for
off-campus students and employees to allow access to the World Wide
Web. CSOnline uses state-of-the-art equipment to bring this high
quality, high-speed connection to all subscribers.

What Will I Need To Connect To CSOnline?
You must have a personal computer with an Ethernet network card
(prefer 3Com brand). Connecting to CSOnline does not require a modem
or telephone line. Connections are made via Ethernet, which provides
much faster transmission of data.
Your computer also must meet a set of minimum hardware, software and
Ethernet card requirements.
Remember these are minimum requirements for machines supported by CSOnline.
- Processor: Intel Pentium or compatible, 90MHz or better
- RAM: 16MB or higher
- Hard Drive: 100MB hard drive space available after operating
system is installed
- Monitor: 14" color monitor display
- Network Card: 10base T Ethernet adapter (prefer 3Com 10/100 PCI
network interface card) and RJ-45 network patch cable
- Operating System: Microsoft Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000 installed
- Internet Explorer 3.0 or greater or Netscape 3.0 or greater Internet

What Will I Need To Purchase If I Already Own A Computer?
For a network connection......
you will need a Microsoft Windows supported Ethernet network card
(prefer 3Com 10/100 PCI network interface card) and an RJ-45 network
patch cable to connect to CSOnline.
For a dial-up connection...
you will need a modem (recommended 56K flex or V.90 compatible).
Network patch cables, Ethernet network cards, as well as modems are
available at the Clarion University ALLTEL Technology Services (CATS)
Center located in Wilkinson Hall. Installation services are also
available if needed. And remember, your machine must meet the
minimum requirements listed in the previous section.
