Bonnie exhibits those same strong characteristics that Celeste had and that other Celeste daughters have had - long body with an excellent rump and standing on solid legs, with rear legs showing excellent angulation. A very breed-specific head. Like Bonnie's sister before her, Ayla, the major difference Bnnie has from when Celeste was a kid is that Bonie seems to be shorter. Bonnie also mimics her sister Ayla in coloring. She takes after her sire in coloring. Where Celeste was blonde, Bonnie is like her father, TaiZing - jet black with some white. Bonnie's is black with a thin white stripe that goes half way up on each side of her.

The above Licorice twins have the commanding presence that their dam had when she was in my herd. They have impressive statures, with long level toplines and correctly angled rumps. They stand on legs that are strong and have a nice square set with correct angulation to the back legs. As with their dam and sire, they carry a very breed-specific Lamancha head. |

The pictures to the left here and immediately below are of Luna, taken while milking one morning, totally unposed. She is not clipped and I only clipped away excess hair on the udder. She had been fighting outside with another doe when I went to get her, and that is where the mud spots on her rear udder came from - it's been stormy weather here lately. There is a slight pocket on the foreudder, not a deep pocket, but up to a little beyond my first knuckle |

The above Tenacity twins combine the traits of their dam and sire in that they have the squared-off blocky look to them. They are structurally correct in legs and feet, have smooth toplines and nice necks. They have a width that starts in their flashy Lamancha heads and carries back through to their rump and escutcheons. Both Tenacity, and her dam, Vanity, freshened with amazing udders - very high, very wide and with a tremendously smooth foreudder attachment. Their mammaries were also very capacious and well attached. These were traits very common in the Hexpectation line of their pedigree. Along with that came very good milk production. An added plus to these two twins is their flashy markings, which comes from my TaiZing breedings. St. Bernadine is called St. Bernadine because it is the female counterpart to St. Bernard. If you stand at a distance from Bernadine and look at her side - you will see a St. Bernard's head in the 3 black spots that are on her side. The full white belt on Tabitha is equally as impressive, especially accesorized by that very feminine white ankle bracelet that she wears on her left ankle. Personality wise they are typical Lamanchas - inquisitive and affectionate. |

To the right, the two side view pictures are of Bernadine. The first is the plain belted side and the second is the broken belted side - the side that gives her her name - Bernadine. It is the female counterpart of Bernard and since you can see the head of a St. Bernard on her right side, I chose the name Bernadine for her. The head of the dog is even more pronounced when you see her from afar, rather than close up. Immediately below, is the side view picture of Gala-Way - named because she reminds me of a Belted Gallaway cow. I always liked the name Gala - so went with Gala-Way for her name. |

The name Felicia is Latin for happy, which is why this doe is named Felicia. Like her dam, Little Fawn, she has that way of running to you and wagging that tail of hers joyously when you enter the pen. I liked that in her mother and now in her. Her sire, TaiZing, has blessed her as well with interesting color patterns, as he seems to be doing with the majority of his kids being born here. Felicia is tan with a black dorsal, white flash on her right side and down the right leg, and with a white tail just like her mother, Little Fawn, had. Felicia continues to exhibit TaiZing traits as well - she is structurally correct, with a nicely blended front end - has good width of body and good space between her ribs. She sports a long lean neck and solid Lamancha head. She stands on good feet and legs. Little Fawn is out of Lucinda, who was from my White Lady line. Another daughter of Lady's can be found in the Lamancha Reference Doe section - her name is Lily. |

Cadence, in October, 2002 - Age 1 yr., 6 mos. |
Again, another reversal in color - Cadence is jet black like her father TaiZing with splashes on one side. Her coloring is nothing like her dam, Cinnamon, who can be seen in the Lamancha Reference Doe section. Cadence did not breed for me last year, but is pregnant this year. Cadence is striking in her width and length and good angulation throughout. She takes after her dam, Cinnamon, in that way. Cinnamon had a very nice udder - bred to TaiZing, I anxiously await her freshening. |
